AKEMI TAKEYA
»Schrei X8 – The Vocalic Body«
What to do when you feel like you want to scream? In Takeya’s workshop we will track down heldback emotions and try to release them with this effective act of catharsis. Meanwhile we build up awareness for the inter-relationship between the voice and the body, which leads to the creation of our own compositions of vocalic screams. Born in Japan, Akemi Takeya is a choreographer and performer who works across fields such as dance, theater, film/video, photography and music.
