In conjunction with INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL 2022, Oliver Hangl hosts his ‘Walking Concert’ series, which since 2013 has literally sent Austrian musicians and audiences on to the streets. With each Walking Concert, new avenues open up through public and perhaps even private spaces in the city, revealing reality as an uncontrollable setting for mobile concert stages.

DIE STROTTERN
The Wienerlied (Viennese song) is alive and well! Die Strottern, the acoustic duo of Klemens Lendl and David Müller, bears some of the blame for this. Over the last 20 years, they have swept away the musical and lyrical cobwebs from the Viennese songs, reworking them into a genre that is now a part of the global songbook. Honours such as the AMADEUS Austrian Music Award or the German World Music Prize RUTH attest to this.
In collaboration with musicians from other genres, from jazz to early music, they continue to explore contemporary themes and new forms of expression for the Wienerlied, including, for example, with JazzWerkstatt Wien, Ensemble Mikado, Franui, Hannes Löschel, Christoph Bochdansky, Matthias Schorn, Willi Resetarits, and Velvet Elevator, among others.
Klemens Lendl: vocals & violin, born 1972 in Vienna, lives in Klosterneuburg, married, with four sons.
David Müller: vocals & guitar, born 1974 in Klosterneuburg, lives in Klosterneuburg, married, with two daughters.
